About Myself
Hello, I am a multi-instumentalist from Glasgow, I can play the euphonium, violin and a little bit of trumpet. I am also a composer of experimental music.
I have a huge interest in Baroque music, this began whilst learning about it at Secondary School. I have played some Baroque pieces on my instruments and just love the whole experience of playing them and the overall sound of them.
I enjoy composing in my spare time, I switch between producing sounds from my home studio using recordings and composing directly from a notation software. I find both fun as I love creating unique sounds and playing around with my recordings.
I am in a few bands which I have really enjoyed playing in since I joined them in 2022. The Strathclyde University Concert Band is great as we get the awesome opportunities to take part in the Scottish Concert Band Festival and the National Concert Band Festival in which we have done well in achieving a Platinum award and a Gold Plus award in. Along with this, we perform in concerts throughout the year too which have been a blast.
Glasgow University Wind Band has been a great experience for me as I have had a go at playing some solos on the euphonium so this has brought up my confidence to say 'yes' to solos.
Finally Samba Ya Bamba Youth Street Band has been so much fun as I have learned so much about Samba music and we have managed to venture out to various gigs and events, such as Doune the Rabbit Hole festival and several street performances. I had never imagined I'd be taking part in a Samba band with a euphonium but this has made me think differently as we have to dance whilst playing so it is very lively and fun!
